Food Ambassador

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Job description:

Fernandwichez is a global sandwich concept in Gainesville, and we're looking for a Food Ambassador to join our team.

This is a hands-on food-service position. You'll be responsible for creating a great guest experience while preparing food, fulfilling orders, stocking, cleaning, and helping operate our stall.

We're looking for someone who:

• Takes initiative and doesn't need to be told what needs to be done.

• Is friendly, welcoming, and comfortable talking with guests.

• Takes pride in cleanliness and organization.

• Can follow recipes and preparation standards consistently.

• Communicates when something is running low or needs attention.

• Works well independently during slower periods.

• Is willing to jump between customer service, food prep, cleaning, and other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests and taking orders.

• Processing orders and payments.

• Preparing and assembling menu items according to Fernandwichez standards.

• Completing assigned prep work.

• Restocking ingredients and supplies.

• Washing dishes and maintaining a clean workspace.

• Cleaning the stall and kitchen areas used during the shift.

• Following food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Communicating inventory shortages and operational concerns.

Helping ensure the stall is ready for the next shift.

Schedule

Part-time | Primarily evening/night shifts

We're currently looking for someone with availability for afternoon and evening shifts, including some weekends. Typical shifts may fall between 5 PM and 12 AM, depending on the day's schedule.

Weekend availability is a plus.

Growth opportunity

This position has an opportunity for advancement to Senior Food Ambassador. The Senior Food Ambassador is entrusted with additional responsibility for inventory, preparation, training, daily operations, and maintaining Fernandwichez standards when the Owner is not present. Advancement is based on demonstrated performance, reliability, initiative, and ability to take ownership of the operation.
